“Aquileia the Great Lost City” incanta Londra
Grande riscontro alla Royal Geographical Society per l’iniziativa dell’ex diplomatico Marshall: una mostra a Londra sulla città romana di Aquileia (oggi poco più di un paese in Friuli).

More than 200 guests including many VIPs arrived to attend the Opening Ceremony of Aquileia The Great Lost City at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in the heart of London. The Italian Ambassador, HE Pasquale Terracchiano was present along with The President of The Italian Chamber of Commerce in London.
RispondiEliminaThe Beacon voices choir were invited to sing at the presentation, and they sang: "Jerusalem, and did those Roman feet in ancient times" they were magical.
An Italian wine sponsor in London, Libiamos provided free wine for the evening and everyone enjoyed the event. This is the first time ever that Aquileia The Great Lost City curated and produced by a former British Diplomat, Peter W Marshall has been shown in England.
It was a resounding success.
As Mr Marshall showed the Italian Ambassador around the exhibition, he remarked that: " he knew about Aquileia, but he did not know that it had so many dimensions!"
The visitors who have been coming to see the exhibition from all over the World have left their comments in the visitors book, and they all say one thing, they did not know about Aquileia, and they feel inspired to visit Aquileia soon with their families and friends.
The Mayor of Aqulileia and the Tourism Dept of the FVG region need to prepare themselves for a new wave of visitors from the English speaking world, and so does the Aquileia Museum.
This is good for all of us.
The exhibition was privately funded by private donations only and two appeal funds were established to help pay for the exhibition. They will stay open until the 29 May when the exhibition at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in the heart of London ends.

Helen Girgenti at the Itallian/UK Chamber of Commerce who helped. Mr Marshall at the London end also opened up an APPEAL FUND FOR PRIVATE DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIP.
Entrance to the exhibition is free, all are welcome.
